【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardestablishesvaluesforsafetydistancesinbothindustrialandnon-industrialenvironmentstopreventmachineryhazardzonesbeingreached.Thesafetydistancesareappropriateforprotectivestructures.Italsogivesinformationaboutdistancestoimpedefreeaccessbythelowerlimbs(see4.3).ThisInternationalStandardcoverspeopleof14yearsandolder(the5thpercentilestatureof14yearoldsisapproximately1400mm).Inaddition,forupperlimbsonly,itprovidesinformationforchildrenolderthan3years(5thpercentilestatureof3yearoldsisapproximately900mm)wherereachingthroughopeningsneedstobeaddressed.NOTE1Dataforpreventinglowerlimbaccessforchildrenisnotconsidered.Thedistancesapplywhenadequatesafetycanbeachievedbydistancealone.Becausesafetydistancesdependonsize,therewillbesomepeopleofextremedimensionswhowillbeabletoreachhazardzonesevenwhentherequirementsofthisInternationalStandardarecompliedwith.NOTE2Thesesafetydistanceswillnotprovidesufficientprotectionagainstcertainhazards,forexample,radiationandemissionofsubstances.Forsuchhazards,additionalorothermeasuresneedtobetaken.TheclausesoftheInternationalStandardcoveringlowerlimbsapplywhenaccessbytheupperlimbsisnotforeseeableaccordingtotheriskassessment.Thesafetydistancesareintendedtoprotectthosepersonstryingtoreachhazardzonesundertheconditionsspecified(see4.1.1).NOTE3ThisInternationalStandardisnotintendedtoprovidemeasuresagainstreachingahazardzonebyclimbingover.
