【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversperformancerequirements,testmethods,andmarkingrequirementsforautomaticfeed,pelletfuel-burningroomheatersthatareintendedtoburnwoodpelletsorothersuitablesolidfuel.Theseroomheatersshallbedraftedbyforcedornaturalmeans.1.2Exhaustventingsystemsandassociatedexternallymounteddraftinducersarenotevaluatedbythisspecificationunlesstheyarepartofanengineeredsystemprovidedaspartoftheroomheater.Partsspecificallyevaluatedanddeterminedtobeacceptableforusewithpelletfuel-burningroomheatersarerequiredtobespecifiedintheroomheatermanufacturer''sinstructionsandaretobeusedinevaluatingtheroomheater.1.3Pelletfuel-burningroomheaterscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforinstallationinaccordancewiththeapplicablerequirementsofNFPA211andinaccordancewiththeapplicablebuildingandmechanicalcodes.1.4Pelletfuel-burningroomheaterscoveredbythisspecificationareacceptableforuseinmanufacturedhomeswheninstalledinaccordancewiththeManufacturedHomeConstructionandSafetyStandardspublishedbytheDepartmentofHousingandUrbanDevelopment(HUD).See24CFR3280.1.5Theterms"product"or"roomheater,"asusedinthisspecification,refertoallpelletfuel-burningroomheatersoranypartthereofcoveredbytherequirementsofthisspecification,unlessspecificallynotedotherwise.1.6Noinformationprovidedinthisspecificationisintendedtopreventtheuseofothermethodsordevices,providedthatsufficienttechnicaldataaresubmittedtotheauthorityhavingjurisdictiontodemonstratethattheproposedmethodordeviceisequivalentinquality,strength,fireendurance,effectiveness,durability,andsafetytothatprescribedinthisspecification.1.7Thenotesincorporatedintothisspecificationarenotprescriptiverequirements.Theyaregivenforclarificationandinformationalpurposesonly.1.8Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.9Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
